On 18 November 2025, the Faculty of Computer Science conducted a seminar titled “System-Level Vulnerabilities: Exploitation Techniques and Mitigation Strategies.” The session was presented by the aura himself Mr. Obaidullah Zazai, who delivered exceptional, hands-on and technically rich presentation on the mechanisms of system-level attacks and modern mitigation approaches used in cybersecurity.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Following the recitation, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Mr. Zarmash Gardiwal, delivered an opening speech highlighting the importance and relevance of the seminar for students, faculty, and the broader academic community. The Dean emphasized how understanding system security, exploit prevention, and secure system design plays a crucial role in preparing students to meet current industry demands and emerging cybersecurity challenges.
The seminar provided participants with valuable insights into system vulnerabilities, exploitation methods, defence strategies, and best practices for securing operating systems and critical infrastructures. The session concluded with appreciation remarks and acknowledgement of the presenter’s efforts.
